1. Give the boys a Food
Pyramid Guide for Children. Talk a little bit about what the
food groups mean.
2. Draw a blank food pyramid
on a black board (or poster board), and label it as shown below:

3. Cut different food items from
a supermarker shopper, or magazine. Place them in a bag. Have the
boys take turns getting one item and taping it onto the right food
group spot in the pyramid.
Extra activities (not needed to complete requirement):
4. Ask for a volunteer who remember everything he ate that day.
Mark the different food groups he ate in the Food Guide chart. Ask
the boys, What did the boy eat too much of? What food groups is
he not eatring enough from?

5. Have the boys help to make a healthy trail
mix. If you add something sweet, like M&M's, try to make
it the smallest amount to follow the Food Pyramid guide.
6. Finish by reading D&C 89: 18-21
