6 Hard boiled eggs -- peeled
6 sl American cheese
12 Toothpicks

Cut the eggs in half lengthwise. Cut the cheese slices in half diagonally for form triangular sails and skewer each on a toothpick mast. Stick the toothpick into the egg to form a boat.

Fruit Roll Snack
Cut a 3-4 inch section of a celery stick. Spread peanut butter in the groove of the celery. Cut a small triangle from the fruit roll snack and attach to a toothpick (see graphic). Stick the toothpick in the celery, through the toothpick.


Make apple sailboats from an apple slice, a triangular piece of cheese, and a toothpick.


1 cup boiling water
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Brand Berry Blue Flavor Gelatin
1 cup cold water
1 can (20 oz.) peach slices, drained
4 colored toothpicks
4 trianglular paper "sails"

STIR boiling water into dry gelatin in small bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add cold water; stir. Pour into 4 individual glass bowls.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm.

TOP evenly with peaches just before serving. Insert toothpick "mast" through each paper "sail." Insert in peaches to resemble sailboats.


Three baking potatoes, well-shaped for best baking and stuffing.
½ stick butter
½ cup milk
½ cup mayonnaise
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black or white pepper
1 tsp chives
shredded cheddar cheese
Add other spices like rosemary, chili powder, parsley based on taste

1. Scrub potatoes well and try not to break the skin.
If you like flavor of the skin, wipe olive oil or butter on the outside of each potato.
2. Wrap potatoes in foil and bake at 375 degrees until tender.
Bake for an estimated 45 minutes to 1 hour depending upon size of potatoes.
3. Take potatoes out of oven. Unwrap potatoes one at a time.
4. Hold hot potato, in a clean pot holder, and use a spoon to scoop the potato from the skin.
Take your time to keep skin intact without breaking.
5. Place scooped potatoes in a large bowl and add butter.
Mash potatoes by mixer until you see a smoother texture.
6. Once the potatoes are mashed, add the remaining ingredients.
Don't add cold ingredients before the potatoes are mashed or you'll end up with lumps.
7. Spoon potato mixture into the potato skins (shells) and place on cookie sheets.
8. Sprinkle potato boats with shredded cheese, to taste.
9. Place potato boats back in the oven until cheese is melted.


1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 can (15 oz.) sliced peaches, drained
2 plastic straws, cut in half
PREPARE pudding as directed on pkg.; spoon evenly into 4 serving dishes. Refrigerate 5 min. or until ready to serve.
TOP each with a peach slice for the "boat" and a "sail" made from a straw half and piece of paper.
REMOVE the sails before letting the kids dive in.


2 hoagie buns
1 1/2 c. diced, cooked ham
1/4 c. chopped celery
3 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tsp. lemon juice
4 slices sliced cheese
4 toothpicks

Divide hoagie rolls in halves. Scoop out center. In a bowl, combine ham, celery, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Fill hoagie buns with mixture. Take toothpick and cheese and make a sail. Stick in center of bun. Sail off for lunch!


1 lg. size pkg. vanilla pudding
Vanilla wafer cookies
Miniature marshmallows

Prepare pudding according to package. Line individual serving dishes with vanilla wafers. Slice bananas over wafers. Spoon cooled pudding over this. Decorate with marshmallows and additional banana slices if desired.
